 The City of Brewer (9,123 pop.) is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual to fill the position of Assistant Code Enforcement Officer.

 The successful candidate will have the necessary certifications, work experience, educational background, or the ability to obtain the certifications within 1-year of hire.  Individuals applying for this position must possess a valid State of Maine driver’s license.

The essential duties of this position include: a working knowledge of code enforcement practices and procedures with the ability to ensure compliance with applicable laws, including local ordinances.  The successful candidate will also be able to multi-task a wide range of responsibilities, follow instructions, and work well with the public.  A strong ability to work with a wide range of computer software and/or the ability to quickly adapt and learn new software programs is highly desirable. The successful candidate will also be highly organized and be able to utilize complex filing systems.  Preference will be given to those with electrical license/backgrounds.
