I am honored to serve the City of Brewer in the capacity of City Manager. Brewer is fortunate to have a hard working, dedicated, and seasoned City Council representing its citizens. Brewer is equally fortunate to have some of the most talented staff to be found anywhere in the State of Maine. We pride ourselves on the high level of service and professionalism delivered to citizens, as well as a customer focus that responds to people and issues in an effective, timely manner. Our various departments, at all levels, serve as a cohesive team. Our goal is to make certain Brewer is, and will continue to be, a great place to live, work, raise a family, and grow a business. Alison Beane

Alison joined the City of Brewer in April 2012 after 5 years with the University of Maine System. She began as an Administrative Assistant in the Shared Processing Center collecting student loans and later was promoted to Staff Associate, in which she provided administrative and operational support to the Director of the Shared Processing Center.  Alison has an undergraduate degree from the University of Maine and a MBA from Husson University.  She resides in Brewer with husband, Glen, and son, Geoffrey.
