Giving to the Brewer Public Library
- Give to the Brewer Public Library Book Fund
- Donate books to be used for the book sale (the Library does not accept yellowed or musty items, encyclopedias, text books or Readers Digest Condensed books)
- Donate books to the Library – books by popular authors are especially needed to enhance our collection.
At this time, we are only able to accept book donations of new titles (published within the last six months), recent paperbacks for our book sale, Brewer history items, and titles by Maine authors. Please call the Library for more information on where to take all other donations.
Monetary gifts, bequests, and memorial donations are respectfully accepted. Funds donated to enhance our collection will be used in accordance with the selection policy. Recognition is given with book plates placed in the materials, a thank-you letters written by the Library to both the donor and any family members specified, and contribution acceptance by the City Councilors.
Become a friend of the Brewer Public Library by joining the Brewer Library Association for only $5.00 per year. These membership fees are used to supplement the regular budget for items in need. The Library Association meets annually and provides support for Library projects. We couldn’t do it without the help of our many local library supporters!
Become a volunteer and share your expertise by presenting programs, giving computer lessons, helping with other library projects, or simply working to keep our book collection neat and clean. Our volunteer projects can be flexible depending on your schedule. Stop by the circulation desk and fill out a volunteer application to start the process. Anyone age 13 or older is welcome to apply!
